Today, we want to share the story of two footballers from the lower Slovak leagues.
Two players who may not play in front of thousands of fans or dozens of cameras, but who leave their heart on the pitch every single time. Two completely different footballers who, at that moment, were connected by the same goal — to return to the grass as soon as possible.
Jozef Lampert — experience, leadership and love for the game
Jozef Lampert (37) is an experienced footballer and captain of seventh-league side TJ AC Mužla. A player with a strong desire to keep playing football, even after facial injuries that could have easily forced him to slow down.
He is the kind of teammate who leads by example. A fighter. A captain. A player whose story proves that love for football has no age limit — only determination, passion and the will to continue.
Luca Gemainer — young talent with the right mindset
Luca Gemainer (20) is a young and talented footballer currently on loan at FC Malacky. A player we strongly believe has a professional career still ahead of him.
Even after nose surgery, Luca was ready to step back onto the pitch with a protective mask, fight for every ball and help his team. That is not just talent. That is character.
Why do athletes keep coming back?
Why do we risk another hit just to stand on the pitch again? Why are we willing to deal with pain, pressure and limitations just to be there for the next training session or the next match?
I play football too. During my career, I have had countless injuries. And every single time, I wanted to come back as soon as possible. To be with my team. To train again. To play again. A match without me on the pitch? I could hardly imagine it.
