A broken nose, blood on the pitch — and back in training just 6 days later.
On February 22, 2025, during the match between KFC Komárno and MFK Skalica, Ondřej Rudzan — a talented 26-year-old Czech defender with national-team experience — took a hard elbow directly to the nose.
A broken nose. Blood on the grass. An immediate substitution.
But when the team and the season are on the line, speed, trust and the courage to continue can make all the difference.
A fast return when the team needed him
The very next day, KFC Komárno assistant coach Norbert Czibor contacted us. We immediately understood what was at stake.
The goal was clear: deliver a protective carbon mask quickly, precisely and without unnecessary complications. And that is exactly what happened.
At that time, Komárno were fighting to stay in the league. And Rudzan was too important to remain sidelined.
The coach had several options, but Rudzan was the player who fit the system perfectly — left-footed, reliable in defence and active going forward.

He played. With the mask. The match ended in a 2–2 draw.
In the following rounds, Komárno went on to beat Ružomberok and Banská Bystrica. Survival was within reach — and today we know they made it.
